Parental Guidance.
I'm sure you know what I'm talking about when I say that, when I was a child, (and as far as Mum and Dad are concerned I'll be a child forever, apparently) my parents were always lecturing me with such behavioral necessities as;
"Sit up straight"
"Don't talk with your mouth full"
"Don't eat with your mouth open"
"Don't talk back"
and the gem,
"Breathe through your nose".
If only Kane had listened to his parents.
Little had I known at the time that my parents were giving me advice on how to thwart facehuggers.
Surely, John Hurt's mom was in the cinema watching the premiere of ALIEN, when she turned to her friend, Ada, and said, "I was always telling him to breathe through his nose, but would he listen...?"
